Selecting a theme

    I’m looking for a theme to upload. I want the Homepage to be a standard page and for my posts to be shown on a different page. I’m also looking for at least 3 widgets on the side bar. I am setting up the blog to document a photography course (one blog per exercise or subject). Each blog will include photos. In addition I will want a photo gallery. Don’t want anything too way out – just a good solid theme but one that allows me to have a standard home page that is not my latest blog. Any recommendations?

    Any Theme will handle these requirements.

    Using a static front page is a core WordPress feature, and is not Theme-dependent.

    (Dashboard -> Settings -> Reading)

    Widgetized sidebars are a standard feature of WordPress Themes. (Any Theme added to/updated in the Repository in the past year – at least – will support Widgetized sidebars.)

    (Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets)

    Photo galleries are a core WordPress feature, and are not Theme-dependent. Simply use the Media Manager.

    (Dashboard -> Posts -> Add New Post -> “Add Image” Icon)
