SEF Links and Webpage Extensions (1 post)

I'm noticing that with WordPress, it doesn't add a temporary file extension to a page after a URL.

For instance, I would expect to see http://www.enter-your-site.com/2008/04/photography/gerbilphoto.html
    or
    http://www.enter-your-site.com/2008/04/photography/gerbilphoto.php

    instead of:
    http://www.enter-your-site.com/2008/04/photography/

Is this good or bad regarding search engines? Also, is there any way to fix this if it is bad?
