Is there any way to see the RSS feed subscriber count if I'm not using a subscriber plug-in, like AddToAny? I have two specific RSS feeds which I've linked to in a text widget on my sidebar.
It would have been a lot easier to use one of the plug-ins but I couldn't find one that would allow me to show 2 separate feeds.So I guess my question is two-fold:
1) Do I need to use a plug-in to track my subscribers, and
2) If I do, can anyone reccommend one they like? (None of the ones I tried worked properly.)

You can't count RSS feed subscribers. People "subscribe" by simply receiving or reading your feed.

Huh - a number of the plug-ins claim to be able to do so, especially if you're using FeedBurner, so I must be misunderstanding what they're offering....
Just to make sure I understand what you mean (like I said, I'm really new at this!), are you saying that it's not possible for me to count the subscribers using my current method (no FeedBurner or AddToAny, etc.), or that it's not possible at all?

Correct. That's one of the reasons some people use Feedburner etc.
