I get this error when I try to edit information about the items in my media gallery and add them to a post as well as when I try to edit my theme from within WordPress:
Security rules violation. Your IP has been logged. Please report this incidence with your IP address of this browser session to the site owner or server administrator if this is a false-positive.
I originally had the same problem with uploading that it seems many others have had (HTTP Error), but thankfully I got that resolved. I don't know if this is related or not.
A Google search of this error message didn't really help at all. I assume this is a WordPress error and not a server issue, but I'm no expert. Any ideas or help from the WP community would be appreciated.

WordPress doesn't generate any such message that I'm aware of. Sounds like a plugin. Are you using Bad Behaviour by any chance?

i'm having the same problem too and i do not use bad behaviour plugin at all. any idea what's causing this? i cant upload any images and i've just upgraded to the latest wp.

I have Bad Behavior, but it is deactivated. It was causing me some other problems, so I decided to stop using it. Would it do any good to delete it altogether?

dear strangeattractor, the problem that users on that particular thread is different to ours. I've installed the no flash plugin and i still get the same error message:
Security rules violation. Your IP has been logged. Please report this incidence with your IP address of this browser session to the site owner or server administrator if this is a false-positive.
