Security question in WordPress

    Im presently running WordPress 2.05 and recently read a notice that there may be a security hole regarding registration in wp. As such, I disabled ‘anyone can register’ as well as removing all my users until further notice. On site I also have a contact form that is restricted to logged on users only.

    Tonight, I received an email via my contact form from someone I do not know. I found this very strange as the contact form is not available to anyone else. How can this be? Has my blog been compromised?

    There have been too many strange things happening of late and this really is beginning to get to me. Anyone have an idea about this or how I could go about sorting this mess out?
