The topic about finding plugins with the timthumb.php file was mentioned here http://wordpress.org/support/topic/security-problem-8?replies=11

I tried to ask the question there, but told to start a new thread?

So the question that @giangel84 asked and then seems to have solved and I would like to know:

Could you tell me the easiest way to "look for any plugin that can include "timthumb.php" file function"?

Is there a easy way to find these type of plugins?

    Thanks in advance.

    I don't think there is.

presumably, for a plugin to include timthumb.php it must be present in your wp-content /plugins directory somewhere, so searching for timthumb.php in all subdirectories of wp-content/plugins should tell you which ones you have installed that could potentially include...

    Thanks Max.

Figured out that I could use the file manager in my cPanel account to search a directory for timthumb.php as you mentioned.

Appreciate you taking the time to provide input.

Thanks cubecolour. That does make it simple. I should have known there would be a plugin for that:)

@texasbiz I'm really sorry for not understanding your question. I was thinking that you wanted to know an easy way to find if timthumb.php is used in a plugin, even before installing any plugin.

Not a problem Pothi. Looking back at question I asked on other thread, perhaps I could have been a bit clearer.
