  • WordPress 2.6.3
    Fedora Core 8
    Apache 2.2.9
    MySQL 5.0.45
    PHP 5.26-2.fc8

I have tried all three major browsers:

In IE7 the page will not load and I get a security error message.
In Firefox the page will load but no scripts execute
In Opera I am asked about the security issue and have the following messages.

(1)The servers name “www.neversofew” does not matchthe certificates name “localhost.localdomain”.
Somebody maybe trying to eavesdrop on you
(2)The certificate for “localhost.localdomain” is signed by the unknown Certificate Authority “localhost.localdomain”. It is not possible to verify that this is a valid certificate.

Anyone have any idea how to fix that or even how it occured?

    Thanks

Further troubleshooting points out that this is a ssl or Apache problem. Not directly related to WordPress. The random factor involved is pointing at Apache.

I am going to drop this here.

Moderator, please marked this as Resolved. It took a bedrock removal of Apache and a re-install but that cured it. It was in fact an Apache problem.
