Second disappear when countdown starts (15 posts)

    When I enable the animation for seconds, it ticks the first one away, then the second digit never appears again.

    I am using Google Chrome, and it displays correctly on Safari, Firefox, and IE.

    Set it up using the settings panel and added it to the page using the icon when creating the page.

    Website is http://www.montgomerycenter.org/summer

    I am using Chrome 24.0.1312.56 and I am having the same issue - the second hand disappears after showing up initially. However it works with Safari and Mobile Chrome.

    @mrmridnight

    What version is that and where did you get it from? I downloaded 1.6.1 but still not working.

    Thanks in advance

    Here's the link for the countdown js
    http://keith-wood.name/countdown.html

    You can download the countdown package
    and update the "jquery.countdown.js" used in Uji Countdown

    kbwood's "jquery.countdown.js" v1.6.1 does actually work in Chrome, but you can't just copy and paste it in to replace ujimoto's version because it breaks the consistency of the timer styling across all the browsers.

    I tried doing a side-by-side comparison of the code and cherry-picking the snippets that seemed relevant to the Chrome incompatibility issue (see https://github.com/kbwood/countdown/issues/6), but it had no effect and I couldn't figure it out.

    I guess we must either spring for ubisoft's PRO version, wait for his update to the free one, or go for kbwood's original countdown.
