Second Blog, same WP

    Okay, this might be confusing, perhaps not.

    I have WP installed and doing very well, thank you. I have a few plugin’s installed and working fine, so I do understand WP somewhat.

    I have searched for an answer to this but cannot find it so I pose the question here.

    I want to add a second blog to this instance of WP. I would live to have it added such as a page, in the page menu and be able to add to it as I add to the original blog.

    I understand I can make a new page and input my content there and using breaks, etc, etc, can make it appear bloglike, but it would not be the same.

    I am looking to document some things which will be going on in my life soon without putting them on the main blog page.

    Help ??

    Do you really need a second blog? If all you want is a “personal life” category that doesn’t show up on the main page, that can be done within your current installation.

    Well, want and need are two different things.

    Thanks for your reply, at least someone is reading, but this what I want…… Seems there is no way to do it, but I will keep thinking it over….

    Sounds like you want to look into categories. Put the stuff you don’t want in the main page in a category. Exclude posts in that category from the front page. Done!

    There are several plugins that can be used for excluding cats. Here’s one: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advanced-category-excluder/
