   i need to create a simple, searchable business directory for a non-profit downtown association. i have a set up a page with all 750 businesses but i can't figure out how to make it searchable by business name or business category. the database contains these fields:

   business name (with a hyperlink to the website for each business)
   street address
   phone number
   category (type of business)

   is there a plug-in i could use to import this database (spreadsheet) and display it as a directory that is searchable? no membership or login required to access this website.

   Most spreadsheet apps contain an HTML export function.

   Thank you for the suggestion. I was able to import the content from Excel but I was trying to find the right plugin for the business directory search function.

   You can create a Search Page with these instructions, I am not using any Search Plugins so I won't recommend one.
