    Hi Tobias,
    Thanks so much for your help the other day with the styling of the search bar. Now there seems to be an issue when someone searches for something in my table. For example, in your demo table (http://tobias.baethge.com/wordpress-plugins/wp-table-reloaded-english/#demo) the search results pop up after the first letter is typed into the search bar, but in my table you have to type in 3 or 4 letters until the specific row appears by itself. I’d like my table to act like yours, where one row pops up immediately after the first letter is typed into the search bar, assuming that the letter is only in one row. Do you know what I mean? How can I fix this?

    yea so on your demo table if you search “z” only the row with the letter z pops up like it should. In mine there’s only one row with a w but if you search “w” the results are not narrowed down to just the one row like yours. I put a second w in the second column same row to show you what I mean. Does this make sense?

    Hi,

    thanks for the example.

    I’m not entirely sure, but I assume that this happens, because a “w” is part of every cell in the first row, as there is HTML code in it (for the audio playing), which contains a “w” in a string.

    Unfortunately, I don’t know how to change that, as I don’t have an in-depth knowledge of the DataTables JavaScript library (which does the searching). Therefore, I suggest that you ask this in the DataTables forums at http://www.datatables.net/forums, just to be sure.

    You’re absolutely right. The audio player I’m using is interfering with the search results. I tried just using plain text and it worked perfectly so it’s for sure the player that’s messing up the search. Thanks man!

    Hi,

    thanks for the confirmation.

    I would exactly say that the audio player “is messing up” the search, but yes, it does have an influence. That should be fairly limited though and only happen if a user slowly types in a search word that is part of audio player’s HTML code. Otherwise, he won’t notice this.
