Search password-protected content

Is there a way to modify my site search to return password-protected content in addition to everything else to non-members of my site?

The reason is that our medical office wants to make lab results available online to our patients. Each patient will have multiple lab results, so we’ll create a password-protected page for each lab result. The pages for a particular patient will include a text string unique to that patient in the title which we’ll give them to use as a search term on our website. That way, they’ll be able to have all their lab results show up on the search results page.

Unfortunately, the password-protected pages currently don’t show up in the search results, so I need to find a way to change that or come up with a different solution.
