Hello,
I DID search the forums first. I read about 15 posts of people that all had the same problem, but for some reasons none of those posts had an answer or even anybody answering at all.
I am gonna try my luck again.
I installed 2.1.1, I have my own theme but I also tried with the default and the classic theme and the search just does not work. Anything I type in the search box just returns a "not found" type of message.
Does anybody know what that is all about? How can I fix it?
Thanks
Link please
Everytime I've hit the issue is been because the user is expecting the system to index Pages when it doesn't.
You do know you need to upgrade asap, right?

Warning: FB is spamming the forum!
He/she puts links to a site with sound (no button to turn off) and the site keeps your browser "captive" - you cannot use the back button to run away...
I was able to 'back away' at least in FF.
I search for the word "posting," and I get your first post, which contains only the words "posting test." That's exactly what should happen. What exactly is the problem?
I assumed that the search would work for both posts and pages... the page http://www.marcurselli.com/biography was created with WP but nothing is found in that page
Alas, that assumption was false.
There are, however, quite a few plugins that extend search to Pages.
I understand now. Thank you very help. That explains a lot (although it doesn't make sense to me that the native WP search wouldn't search for pages in its database).
Thanks for the replies.
