On my blog, i want to integrate a bunch of research
for my projects. The "links", or publications are various -
PDFs, Web-Links, PowerPoint-files and so on...
Is it possible to search ALL files, so the search-engine
also finds words in the content of a PDF?
I can´t find the right plugin for that, can anybody help me?
Thank you!!

I already uploaded the plugin and activated it,
but the "search" still doesn´t find words that are
included in the pdf that you can download from the blog.
I don´t know why...
Any other ideas?
Search Everything only searches within the wordpress database tables, including metadata.
There are two options:
Paste all of the text from your PDF or other document format into a meta field on the post. Search Everything will then provide the results you need.
Or, if Google indexes those documents you can use my other plugin, Google AJAX Search.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the answers!
I knew about the meta data in advanced search,
but it´s to much work to paste it everytime.
(the research part is growing constantly and rapidly...)
The Google AJAX Search does not work though.
I uploaded it, and I activated it, but my search still
doesn´t find text in the pdf.
Is there anything else i have to do except uploading and activating the plugin?
Hello,
I am now looking for a solution to basically the very same problem. I want the inside contents of my PDFs to be scanned for word matches - whenever WordPress search is used.
Anyone have some ideas?
For more info. on my specific needs, my new post is at: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/120109

P.S.
nilofox: change this post to not resolved, please. We might actually have a chance of getting helped out that way.
