Search HTML in WordPress files

    Newby here.
    I’m having great difficulty in locating HTML in WordPress files. Now I’m doing fine with Firebug and changing css here and there, but finding plain HTML is impossible!

    For instance, in my Childtheme I’d like to change the words “This entry was posted in” in a post into something else.

    In the Codex I can read that you just have to search yourself through all files, but is there anybody that can tell me how to search AND find?
