Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me figure out why I can't search for tags for each post in the search box...it seems the search function will only search the text of a post...I must be doing something wrong, why what is the point of tags if they can't be searched?
I searched the forum, but I couldn't find an answer.
Anyone who could help would be great, I am using a wordpress site for a project for my MLIS and it is due very soon!
Thanx so much!
Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.
Right, of course.

This is my blog...all posts seems to be having the same issues. For example, if I search for "trumpet", a post I mention "trumpet" in the post's body will show up, but the others I simply tagged with "trumpet" do not. Thanx so much!
I think this is default behavior. try it with a plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search-everything/
Right - that's the standard behaviour for the default WordPress search. It only searches post/page content & titles - not meta info such as tags or categories. However, there might be a search plugin that will add this functionality for you.
Thanx esmi and keesiemeijer...i downloaded the search-everything plugin and it finds everything ow.
thanx again for the fast response!
