Search Form Options

I’m using Dan Cameron’s Search Everything plugin which searches posts and pages.

Posts return the excerpt, whereas pages are returned in full. Is there a hack to be able to return an excerpt of the page?

Is it possible to also modify the search form so that users can specify whether to search through pages or posts?
