I can’t search for plugins through the WP admin on a site I’m working on. It keeps saying Internal Server Error. I have searched over and over, and it did work once or twice, but for the most part it just instantly gives me the error.

I came on here and tried searching for plugins, and it either takes forever and times out or it eventually works. I downloaded some plugins through the wordpress.org site and uploaded them to the site I’m working on, so I can get the plugins and they install correctly, but why won’t my in admin plugin search work?

    It says:

“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    Try again

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, cgiadmin@yourhostingaccount.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”

The last thing I did before the error was install “slideshow gallery” and set it up.

    Any ideas what is wrong?

This problem only lasted for a few hours and then resolved itself. No idea what the problem was, but I think it had to do with the WordPress plugin search, not anything on my end.
