Search behaves oddly when taxonomies have identical terms
-
This is a great plugin but I’ve come up against a problem.
I am building a song catalogue – as part of this there are three taxonomies, ‘Sounds Like’, ‘Covered by’ and ‘Inspired By’.
Each of these taxonomies can contain identical terms – for instance The Beatles.
Search works as expected when only one of the taxonomies contains the term, but if it’s a term appears in more than one taxonomy, the results show posts for each of the others.
For instance, a search for songs that ‘Sounds Like’ The Beatles results in this page:
/?soundslike=the-beatles&coveredby=the-beatles&inspiredby=the-beatles
When it should just be:
/?soundslike=the-beatles
It seems to only pull in results for the remaining taxonomies in the search form – for instance if I don’t select anything in Sounds Like and just search for Covered By, I’ll get this:
/?coveredby=the-beatles&inspiredby=the-beatles
Is there a way around this? Thanks in advance!
