Trying to figure out why a site running the 2010 template has a completely non-functional Search.

Regardless of what is typed in the Search box, the result is always the same:

    “Nothing Found

Sorry, but nothing matched your search criteria. Please try again with some different keywords.”

I know the default WP Search only looks through Blog posts, but the Search on this site doesn’t find words that I have verified are present in the Blog posts.

I tried to disable all of the plugins, but still no joy.

Ideas? My next inclination is to install the Search Everything plugin.

    TIA for your help!

Thanks for your reply. I found the problem: the Relevanssi plug-in was apparently updated by someone who didn’t check its functionality afterward. According to the Relevanssi website, this behavior often occurs after an update, and can be addressed by merely deactivating/reactivating the plug-in. Not exactly intuitive, but at least it works!
