Scroll Arrows not working

I have got my slideshow set up the only problem I am having is the slider for the thumbnails doesn’t slide. The scroll left and right arrows do not work. And seeing as I have more thumbails then the total width of the slideshow I need this to work. Any ideas??? Thanks very much.

also as a side question, not as important… is there a way to center the image in the slideshow? Like if I had a image 400px wide and the slide show is actually 500px, can I center it within there at all? If it is possible to center vertically and horizontally I’d be super happy.
