   Hi there, I'm looking for a script or a plugin that will allow me to display a welcome message to a visitor to my blog

   "welcome _name here_"

   Ive come across alex kings "since last visited" plugin but am wondering if that would work fine if I could just figure out how to add the bit that displays their name with a welcome message, having the comments and posts since their last visit is excellent as well.

   I'm wondering if that plugin is compatable with strayhorn, and if there are other alternatives I could use?

   I've seen this on http://chrisjdavis.org and http://binarybonsai.com -- I assume it's a combination of a plugin and cookies. Check out the colophon on Binary Bonsai...I think Michael lists all of the plugins he uses.
