russelltI am looking for a script I can run at the hosting level on all customers to look for out of date versions of WordPress and plug-ins. That may be a bit much to ask. I have some issues with some of my customers installing WordPress and then not ensuring the files are up to date. As a result they end up getting malware injected and then it's a mess for sure.
What I would like is a script that allows me to run it as a cron job and it will check all customer domains to ensure that the latest versions of files are installed. The script results would be rendered in a log file.
Not sure what the script would be called or if it even exists. I apologise if this is not the correct place to ask, but I am a bit bewildered as to WHERE to look.
