   I've been reading a lot of tutorials and forums and tried everything (changing the permissions, updated the script and theme archives, etc.). I also contacted the hosting support, activated PHP5 and enabled GD-library. Everything seems to be allright, but I can't make the thumbnail generator work yet...

   The images appear in the cache folder, but I think the problem might be related with paths since they are not showing up in the homepage, although everything seems fine in the post itself.

   Please, if someone can give me some help with this I would be really gratefull!

   Did you change script and cache directory to chmod 777?

   Perhaps the problem is the file name? See http://wordpress.org/support/topic/255208?replies=2
