I just transfered my blog domain name and server to another domain registar and host.

After transfer being successful, I proceeded to install the WP v2.6 to my domain root. Installation was successful and I FTPed my back-up files from the previous host to the new directory.

Although files were transfered - blog not functioning. So I deleted all files and uninstalled v2.6.

When I tried to install v2.6 on the same directory root, I got error message that I cannot install another script on the same root.

Can anyone help me resolved this issue?

    Thanks.

What files? The theme, plugins, etc. or are you trying to get back your posts by copying files?

What I did was to FTP the folders, WP Admin, WP Content and WP Include. These were backed up from my blog at the previous host.

I basically want to get back all my previous posts.

You hopefully have a database backup from your old host as the database is where the posts, comments, pages, categories, tags, and users are kept.
