  • What version of JQuery are you loading? If you are using a plugin or otherwise specifying that libraries be loaded from a CDN like Google, JQuery has been incremented to v1.5.x. WP 3.x is expecting v1.4.x in the backend. This can be confirmed by the Dashboard widgets no longer being able to be dragged and dropped or even opened.

I have WordPress JQuery Dropdown Menu 0.5 from Jamie Good. This plug-in was installed for a drop-down menu used with three different custom themes. It does not say that there is an update available for the plug-in.

I only have the issue with the multisite version and not with my standalone installations.

I just tried to see if I had a problem dragging the dashboard widgets and strangely, everything is working now. Maybe your aura has fixed it for me.

Google Analytics Dashboard now works on the main site but still not the sub sites/sub domains.

    Which Google Analytics plugin?

I have Google Analyticator Version 6.1.1 By Ronald Heft & Google Analytics Dashboard Version 2.0.1 By Carson McDonald.

Right now, Google Analytics Dashboard was not loading again. The Incoming Links dashboard widget was also not loading. I clicked on various other screens and kept on coming back to the dashboard but it never loaded. I noticed that earlier today and again now, when I clicked on Network Admin and back on Site Admin both widgets started loading again.

You shouldn’t be using both on one site, just as an FYI.

Google Analyticator SOMETIMES hangs for me, but generally a refresh fixes it. It’s usually when Google’s doing stuff. It’s been happening to me like this since 2.9, so I don’t think this is a 3.1 problem, personally.

I didn’t realize that I shouldn’t be using both. I thought that one was getting the information and the other was displaying it on the dashboard. I deactivated Google Analyticator.

Google Analytics Dashboard seems to be displaying in the dashboard of the main site but still does not display in the dashboards of the subsites.

Make sure you added the right permissions in the plugin settings. (I use analyiticator and as long as you register each site with your ID/password it works fine).

Google Analytics Dashboard doesn’t add the GA code to the site – it just goes and gets the graphs so you can see them in the backend. It even says you *need* to use another GA plugin with it.

tho I tried it earlier and can;t get anything to show.

    Hi Andrea!
That’s what I thought. Google Analytics Dashboard was displaying in the dashboard of the subsites prior to the 3.1 update. After the update, it no longer displayed. Shortly after the update, there was a Google Analytics Dashboard update but it still does not display.

Then I guess the plugin is not working in 3.1.

But Analyticator puts a widget showing 30 days of activity graph, along with Site Usage stats, Top Pages, Top Referrers and Top Searches lists, in the Dashboard. Why are you using a second plugin to do this? I’d wager that they are conflicting.
