   First off, I'm newer than a total newb to this whole thing, so forgive my ignorance.

   How do you add a site map or other links in the footer to the scrappy theme?

   You can do this by going to Appearance -> Widgets and assigning some widgets to the footer column areas.

   I use the plugin Page-List, by webvitality, to produce a site map (in the footer, by putting a short code in the text widget).
