School Website - Need help - Internal Error Problem (5 posts)

    Hello,
I work in a school for young people with Autism, one of the staff's partners builds websites for a living - he set us up a basic school website and passed on the log in details for me to update the site with news etc.
It has been running fine like this for a few months, however recently I was asked by managment to add photo's to the site to make it more interesting / interactive. So here is where it all went wrong...

I tried installing a 'plug in' for a photo album, however after i had up loaded this plugin my internet page turned to:
    'HTTP 500 Internal Server Error'
For everything though, Can't view the site,
Can't log in to the admin.

Now the staff member who's partner set up the site is off work at the moment, so I was wondering if any of you kind people would be able to help me?

I must warn you, I have no knowledge of any 'tech' speak or coding.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jamie. (Landgate School).

Try removing the plugin by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

As it was set up by someone else I have no infornamtion on the host or anything - just the wordpress log in - I understand it will be alot easier to fix the problem with all this and I will get this infornmation when the member of staff who's partner set up the site returns to work
I was just wondering if there was a way of fixing the problem in the meantime.

No I can't log in to the Cpanel.

    Thank you for your replies.

No, without FTP or Cpanel access there is not much you can do.

    Maybe contact your host?
