[resolved] Scheduled backups and maintenance not running after server change (5 posts)

    Hello,

My scheduled backups haven't ran since January, and I'm 50% certain they stopped running after I migrated to a new server... in January. Where would be a good place to begin my troubleshooting steps to get those backups running again?

    Thank you kindly,

    Brian

Does the manual backup works? If it does and only the schedule is not working, you will probably need a plugin like http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/ to see if the cron is being fired

    Hi Lester,

Yes, manual backups work. I can also delete backups. All the notices for backup status are green.

WP-Crontrol alerted me to the problem. There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron jobs on your site may not work. The problem was: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed

    Thank you!
    Brian

I am afraid you have to post the error in the general support forums here to see if anyone ran into the issue. I have not come across this before =)

    EDIT: a quick google http://wordpress.org/support/topic/https-local-ssl-verify-and-wp_cron?replies=3
