• Why does hitting the Save Draft button refresh the entire page? It’s time consuming, distracting, and feels a bit antiquated. Hitting “Save” in full-screen mode doesn’t require refreshing the screen, so why does it refresh the screen from the default view?

    Would love this changed/fixed.

Hitting save in the Full Screen mode only saves the post content. On the normal page editor, you have more settings and, thus, the full save 🙂

Thanks for the explanation – much appreciated.

Gotta say though, I’d still like to see it changed so the entire page could be saved without refreshing. Blogger and other platforms are able to do so and it makes the composing experience much better, in my opinion.

Blogger’s doing a whole lot less, and you can’t add your own plugins. It’s a give and take.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions about all this.

Any idea if there are plans to auto-close the “This post is saved” banner, or provide a way for the user to close it?

Not that I know of, and I would suspect allowing the user to close it would come before an auto-close (since if you hit save and walk away, how would you know?)
