Save in Admin panel – Gives me 404?

    Hi,

    When trying to save certain things within my admin panel, i get taken to my sites 404 page?
    I have deleted the htaccess file, uploaded a new one, turned off plugins, changed permalinks back and forth between custom and default, re-installed all the files etc..

    Can someone please help!!

    Add:

    When i try to save the settings for the theme, it gives me a 404 – IF, i remove custom permalinks, it doesn’t give the the 404 but doesnt save my changes?? It says, settings saved. But when looking back at them nothing has changed…???

    Totally baffling.

    Please help.
