Loco Translate
Save - extremely slow (5 posts)

    Hi,

Installed Loco Translation yesterday, made one sample translation, saved - Everything OK.

Then I translated perhaps 15 texts, pressed save - and it still runs now after 14 hours...

All settings are unchanged from installation.

Is this normal? What could be the reason for such a delay?

    Regards,

    Robert

    No, this is not normal.

When you say it "runs" what do you mean?
It should take under a second, even for hundreds of texts.

We need to find out where the error is. Do you get any error output in your server logs or in your browser console?

I had to leave my computer at home and go to work.

No error messages, the browser tell me that it is fetching object no x of y, where x keeps adding up and y always is x+1. If I try to leave the page, I get a warning like "Do you really want to leave, changes will be lost".

I will post an update when I return later today.

    BR,

    Robert

Back at the computer after 24 hours, still running. I try to attach screenshot above. Note line at the bottom, "Läser in" is Swedish for Reading.

I must abort the session now but still interested in why it ends up in this way.

I can't account for the odd status bar counter. The Loco editor posts the PO source to the server via Ajax, so I wouldn't expect to see a message here at all.

Clearly something is wrong though. Your PO file is quite large so there's the possibility of the server timing out, or possibly some kind of JavaScript error. (guessing here).

If you email your PO file to support at localise dot biz I can try to reproduce the problem.
