    i’m learning as i’m going, didn’t see anything as i was browsing threads and was just wondering if anyone that modified their lego screen (or does it matter which one??) would be willing to share the css they used for it??

    all i want to do is make the font for both the site – site description (top portion) and my message (body) both larger, different font, and bold.

    also, if the author reads this, please confirm on how to modify the lego theme. i see the option of using a url to my css file, which wouldn’t be a problem once i figure out the css, but i also see “own css stylesheet” under the “css style” options on the menu which is confusing me because i don’t know whether i still need to select “lego” as my “css style” and just add a link to my css style sheet on the server, or do i choose “own css stylesheet” and a link to the “css style” on the server that would reference the lego theme?? sorry, but the instructions r just a bit vague, however i am leaning towards door #1. maybe?

    thanks

  • If you will change the default themes, then it is a way to copy the default style, leave in a file and change your requirements. Change the theme to custom style and add the url to your custom stylesheet, there leve on the webserver.

    hi frank,
    so if i want to change the fonts on the lego theme, i need to…

    1. select custom stylesheet from the drop down;
    2. add the url for my stylesheet on the server

    correct?

    if so, do u have a sample stylesheet that u can post here for all to see on how to change the lego theme?

    if anything, it could save u any future questions since i really didn’t see answers elsewhere in the threads and i’m sure others will asking the same thing.

    thanks

    The order of select a stylesheet is correct.
    See this example, the default of the Lego theme in the repository:
    http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/wp-maintenance-mode/trunk/styles/af.css

    Change the part, there you will change. It is a nice way, that you use the Webinspector or Firebug to find the right element.

    thank you, frank, i really appreciate it.

    i’m sure when others come across this thread, having an example to go by, will probably be helpful to them as well.

    cheers
