I have a site in which I have membership levels for members, specialists, directors, etc.

Is there a way that a member can sign up for one, two or more membership levels, without having to have a separate login for each?

Appreciate the help and great plugin.

Right now PMPro doesn't support multiple membership levels per member. We've started doing some groundwork to support this, but it's actually a lot of work to change all of the backend and UI to support multiple membership levels.

There is no specific timeline, but we hope sometime Q1 this year to have proper support for multiple membership levels.

In the meantime, you can work around this by creating hybrid levels. So e.g., members, specialist, directors, and Super Duper Everything Members, or member/specialist, specialist/directors... as extra levels. Then setup access to that specialists and specialists/directors have access to specialist content, etc. (Hope this makes sense.)

    Hope this helps.

You can add a line like this around line 1286 of includes/functions.php, which I'll add into the next version:

    $sqlQuery .= " ORDER BY id";

    Thank you,

I chewing on your suggestion about hybrid levels. That could work, except that they would appear on the Member Levels page, which would probably be confusing to members.

Also, as a thought about the subject; In my case I am building a membership site with membership levels for members, specialists, directors, etc. Members are likely to move between levels on a regular basis. For example a member may choose to be a member this month, a specialist author next, and a Super Duper, for the next, and then revert back to just a member. In other words the solution may be to make membership payments like a shopping cart with basic memberships, to which add-on subscriptions can be added without changes to the underlying membership.

So in the above scenario, the membership would be 'Member' with an option to add to cart a subscription (a membership level) for 'Specialist Author,' or 'Super Duper,' etc.

Hope that helps in some way.

    Otherwise, great product.

OK, continuing the above line of thought:

Is there a way to create a membership level so that it does not appear on the Membership level's list, but can be used by Admin to add members to it manually?

The reason for this, is that my Director level members have to sign up for the Directors level where they have to write a test - and pass, before being given access to the rest of the director's level content. If they pass the test, I will give them access to the rest of the director's level. I have software for the test, so that is not the issue. what I will need to do is add:

    1. Director Level (Appears on the Members Level list page)
    2. Director-passed Level (Does not appear on the list page, but access given manually by admin when they pass their test.)

I know that I have given you a lot to chew on, but I know that you are working on these or similar issues, and this may help to formulate the outcome.

    Thank you for your help.

Just wanted to throw another vote in for supporting multiple levels. To me, this would be a killer feature. Right now, using PMPro, I'm trying to figure out how to monetize and because it "replaces" levels, it's limiting my options. As a workaround, I'm looking at just starting with two levels and letting users sign up for A and then later get A+B. But this gets messy the more you add.

Having multiple levels really would be an awesome feature. Will purchasing paid support help move this feature up? :P (Planning to do this anyway!)
