    Hello to the world.

I’m trying to build pages with this structure:

    item a – description – gallery
    item b – description – gallery

I’m working with %category%/%postname%/ and it adds a 2 to the slugs of the second pair of subpages. Is there any way that I can avoid that? I want to have clean url’s.

Thank you for your time and have a nice day.

  • @jana26 if the names of the pages are unique it generally shouldn’t add the “-2” it could be worth changing the trash tab to see if a page exists with the same URL

@james there’s nothing in the trash. I want to have childpages of different parents with the same name. unfortunately there is a number added to the slug. I don’t want to have an url with item345/description-345/. I want item345/description/

Hmm very strange, generally different parents mean you can have the same name for a subpage, do you have link to the site in question?

Ok, thanks. I was confusing posts and pages. Sorry.
