• Hi all!
So, I’ve got two domains that both reside on the same server. If I use the RSS widget to import and display the feed of one on my other domain I always receive the following error message: “Error: could not find an RSS or ATOM feed at that URL”. The feed url is correct and I am able to import everything from this address into my local MAMP installation of WordPress. I am also able to import feeds from other sources, on different servers, onto my online WordPress installation.

Thus, I believe some of the server settings are making it impossible for WP to access the feeds.

Does anyone have any specs on PHP / server settings for XML handling? Does anyone know how to solve this?

Well, what I know now is that it is a problem with the way the DNS server resolves names. It sees it as getting data locally. One way I might be able to solve this is by running two DNS servers, each for it’s own domain. I don’t know if it actually is going to work but theoretically it should.

    Hi,

    I had the same problem.

I fixed it by using feedburner 🙂
