• I am new to this and making some progress, but am quite stuck.

I’m using the Twenty Eleven theme and have created a “child” them to modify.

I can’t seem to get the text on some (but not all my pages) to do what I want.

On pages impacted by .entry-title, the changes I want are working.

On pages impacted by .singular .entry-title they are not.

I’d like to remove excess white space above where each page title is printed. I managed this at the top of the page in the header above the photos using different commands and the same CSS commands work on some pages at this same location on the page.

I downloaded FireBug and have examined the pages closely and can’t find the difference between these pages.

I do note that the pages where it isn’t working also show up with an “Edit” button right near the page title when I’m logged in as Admin. The others don’t show this button, but all have the toolbar up top where I can go into the editor.

Here is a page that is working as I’d like:

    http://www.progressivesforobama.org/aboutus/a-legitimate-critique/

Here is one that is not:

    http://www.progressivesforobama.org/justice/health-care/

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

    Thanks much,

    David
