   Hello there,

   I've created a custom theme folder which I just called Default2. A pretty ugly theme name.

   Is it safe to just rename my theme folder to something else? Will it break my site?

   The name of a theme is controlled by its style.css file. You can change the folder name to most anything you would prefer, with a strong suggestion to change to the "Default" theme first.

   That is, activate the Default theme; rename your "custom" theme folder; then re-activate your "custom" theme. Changing active theme file names or the active theme folder name can lead to some very odd issues ... like the "white screen of death" ;)
