    I do not know if this helps but in all three of your floated elements lmenu, content and rmenu you have fixed the width. Fine. You need to But they also have padding and margins. Hence the layout is munged. You either need to hack, alter the width dimensions or nest inside the floated divs. HTH.

    Okay I am pretty new to CSS so if you could elaborate a little bit or point me towards the information that would be really helpful.

    Plus - I feel sure the math is out by 2px. As a test only why not remove the border on #rap?

    OK. Now I am almost sure. Reduce the centre col by 2px. HTH.

    I tried removing the border from rap and this had no effect. I am going away for a couple of days so I will have to leave this for now and I will continue bugging you when I get back.
