Safari buggy when updating & installing plugins

    When updating plugins, Safari (5.1.5 on OSX 10.6.8), will show that the files are being downloaded, but does not show the rest of the operation.

    Clicking on the menu sidebar will show the option clicked and the list of plugins.

    The plugin files are downloaded and updated, but the plugin is left deactivated and you have to go and manually activate the plugin again.

    Chrome or Firefox update and complete the operation properly and also reactivates the updated plugins.
