• Hi there. I’m trying to maintain the membership settings established on my primary site (behavioralpolicy.org) across a new subdomain created using WP Multisite (journal.behavioralpolicy.org). The subdomain needs to have a different theme from the primary domain. Users do not create blogs on either site.

I’m unable to see the network users (they only appear on the primary domain). I’ve read through the support forums, but haven’t landed on specific advice for how to properly configure the subdomain and s2MemberPro settings. Thanks in advance for your help.

Users are per-site, so you have to add them to each site unless you use a plugin to auto-add them to all sites at once.

That said, most plugins, and I think S2Member falls under this, has permissions set per site and not network wide.

I’m only trying to share the s2Member permissions across a site and its subdomain. The subdomain has a different theme than the parent, but the permissions should be identical.

Yes and in multisite users and roles are granted per site, not cross-site (with the exception of the Super admin), so that’s not how it works.

I’ve tagged this for S2Member, but I don’t know if they support site-wide level memberships.
