• Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me as I just can’t figure this one out…

I have Joomla running in the root of a domain: http://www.example.com. Now because wordpress is waaay better for blogging I want to use it to run my blog (I would switch completely away from Joomla but it is a big, hacky site and this is a project for next year!)

I want my wordpress blog to run at: http://www.example.com/blog

Now I can set this up so that it works EXCEPT for url rewrites.

Has anyone gotten this to work. I can’t help feeling that doing something in virtual hosts will be the solution, but I don’t really know what I am doing here.

The alternative (which works) is using a separate sub-domain, but this is not really what I want.

    Any help greatfully received!

  • you need to exclude the directory that wordpress is in inside the .htaccess for joomla

wordpress wont have any reason to go UP ^^ into joomla’s links. its joomla that might be looking into blog/

so exclude that path in the .hatccess thats being used for any joomla rewrites
