Run WP Over The Network (6 posts)

I've been wanting to create a WordPress site for the office which would include information about the company et al. We only have a small company and don't have any hi-tech stuff (if ever it is needed for this issue)

Basically, I would like to create the WordPress site on 1 computer (not a server) and the other computers can view it on their own browser.

How do I do this? At first I thought it was just a matter of address direction, say http://networkname/ etc.

I am actually not a programmer at all but a graphic designer.

    Looking forward to your help.

Thanks esmi for the fast reply.

I installed it and did the instructions, changed the address to http://www.onesource.dev but it's not working and I'm getting a broken link.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you

Is your network configured to point all requests for http://www.onesource.dev/ to your web server?

Not sure what that means. Again, I am not a programmer.
I tried the address on this computer I am using (which is connected to a network), where I installed the DesktopServer. Needs to point request on the same computer?

Thank you again for your help.

I'm sorry but this isn't a WordPress issue. You need to set up your network so that all of the machines can access the server via IP or an internal domain name. Try asking for help on a forum for your particular server software.
