• Hi,
This plugin is exactly what I need however my website is in Arabic which mean its displayed right to left. Any chance you will add RTL support? I would be happy to pay for this plugin if it had RTL support.
Also a nice feature would be to mark a product unavailable, as I will be listing products with prices and when they are not available anymore I would like to note that without removing the product from the catalogue listing. Also an ‘I want this product’ button would be nice to gage customer interest in out of stock products.

    Thank you.

    Hi Alballaa,

Thanks for the 4 suggestions. I’m just about to release an update, tomorrow hopefully, but will definitely add RTL support, product unavailable, and a ‘Product Wanted’ button to the next release (about 3 weeks time) after this one though!

Thanks for the support, another problem I ran into, it seems the plugin doesn’t handle Arabic at all, when enter information in Arabic all the characters are changed to questions marks. It seems like its not using UTF8?

    Hi,

Thanks for the link. I’ve got no experience working with Arabic text, have you had a similar problem with any other problems so that I might have an idea where to get started? I’m assuming that I need to change the language settings on the product and category tables, but I could be way off. Sorry about the problem,

Well, I’m no expert, but I’m assuming that the problem is that Arabic is unicode UTF-8 and the plugin is reading it as roman and storing it as so. I’ve never had this problem in resent years with any of the plugins I’ve used.

    Hi,

The tables should now be saving text as UTF-8 with the 2.0.1 update.

the problem is still happening, however I did some research and I might have a solution. The db needs to be “utf8_unicode_ci”

    another soultion I found http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13439324/arabic-language-in-php-mysql-appears-question-marks-in-html

    and another possible answer http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/108883/need-help-to-arabic-text-in-wordpress

Hope these help and thanks for the support.

    Hey,

So that’s exactly the change that was made. Are you using version 2.0.1? When the upgrade happens, it should change the database to that character set. Here’s an example with it working:

Let me know if it’s still not working for you.

    (@alballaa)

yes your example is working but its not on my site, the upgrade must have messed up. Any advice? a clean install of the plugin?

Also apparently even the shortcode isn’r working, the upgrade must have messed something up.

Would appreciate your advice on how to move forward.

I would try re-installing. There were a couple of changes that should have happened during the last upgrade that were kind of big (database charset and SEO friendly product page URLs), so something could have gotten messed up during the process.

Ya I ended up having to go in and deleting the db manually and reinstall the plugin for it to work. Looks good now, thanks.
