I've successfully used the RSS widget to put a Follow me on Twitter blurb and feed on my webpage, and I'd like to do the same for my WordPress blog that has its own address (isn't part of my website). I used the feed style information provided at http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Feeds#Finding_Your_Feed_URL
But I still get this message, instead of the widget, on the page:
Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /home/evbi5733/public_html/wp-includes/rss.php on line 449
And in the line where I've pasted the RSS feed URL, it says they can't find a RSS or ATOM feed at that address.
Please help!
Thanks!
:)

Aaaarrgggh, the silence is deafening. Where are the WordPress geeks?
Per the post below, it's also a security risk:

L S if you actually state your problem and provide a link someone may try to assist you.
Having the same problem. Has anyone heard of a fix? The only thing I can do that works is to remove the widget.
Not a very satisfactory solution, after all!
