I have a "subscribe" button on the homepage of my business website. Can I use this to start a blog on my site??? I created a page for the blog but I can't get it to show up on my home page....:(
If anyone can help I'll send the link to my site.
Thanks!!
Is this a self-hosted WordPress site?

If it's a wordpress.com site, then try asking your question on http://en.forums.wordpress.com/ These forums are for self-hosted WordPress sites only.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what you're asking - or even if this is WordPress related.

It's a business website that a web designer set up for me on WordPress, it's runs through their server. All I do mostly is manage the galleries and upload photos and text etc. It has apparently been set up so I can start a blog and I am trying to find out how to do this myself. Unfortunately I have to get them to update any new WP versions so I can't escape that.
I am a designer but not of the web variety which I'm sure is blatantly clear. Today I managed to install the google analytics tracker.....for me that's quite something.
Here is the website: http://freespacedesign.com/
Thanks for replying anyhow... :)

That is a self-hosted WordPress install. First, you need to find out if your site is using a a static front page. Or discuss this with your original web developer.

Hi, from what I understand, having been to that setting after I created the blog page I believe it is using a static front page.
Then what page is set as your main Posts page?

I have no idea as I haven't actually posted anything.
Basically someone told me to create a page for my blog, which I did, now I need to find out how to put it as a link from the front page of my website. Do I need to set up a whole new WordPress file for my blog and link it, or can I do it from inside the site I already have? There is also the RSS feed, and I have a "subscribe" button for this already on the front page?? No idea how to do anything with this....
I can see I really need someone to sit down and physically go through all this.....but thank you for your time.....I'm a real beginner and it will possibly just drive you nuts :(
