• I’m so mixed up… This is my 2nd wordpress installation…
Last one went well and now I am on to #2.

The last one was in root of other domain but this time in subfolder /newsblog/ and the rss feed will not validate.

1st off I am miffed at why in this update 1.5.1.1 they didn’t repair the default footer template so it has correct syntax for the feed:URL – that’s a big NO NO.

This is the 2nd time I got stuck on that… what program supports feed: in the URL? None that I know of. Big waste of time on that.

So I finally figure out if I change the footer template and remove feed: from the URL I can get the rss to work BUT hey – it’s basically an empy rss file… it doesn’t show the entiries I add at my blog.

Here is the feed URL that shows no entries:

    http://www.televisiontvshows.com/newsblog/feed/

It looks like a feed but is empty

    MyYahoo says

We couldn’t find the RSS file you asked for
    http://www.televisiontvshows.com/newsblog/feed/

So I try a new URL for the RSS feed at:

    http://www.televisiontvshows.com/feed/

On my other wordpress blog this works as rss feed…

Now I can see the entries listed and it looks kosher but myyahoo still won’t accept .

    Then I try to validate…

Server returned HTTP Error 404: Not Found

Can someone help me to get my RSS feed so it validates and I can add to myyahoo…

Must have something to do with the root folder versus /newsblog/ which is where my latest install.

    Blog URL is:

    http://www.televisiontvshows.com/newsblog/

RSS Links are at the bottom.

Otherwise I am thrilled with wordpres sbut this kind of runaround should be happening… RSS should work with no code writing on a users part, right? That kind of ruins the 5 minute install concept when you have to hunt for fixes to get RSS to work.

    Please help!

    THANKS :’>

    Mike
