RSS import problem in WordPress 2.0

    I am using WordPress 2.0 with the theme “Basic2Column”

    for the past few days i have been having severe problems trying to import
    the RSS feed from my previous blog (sphp)

    I have tried the following:

    -using dashboards “import RSS” funtion to upload the rss.php file
    from sphpblog

    -copy/pasting the url (feed://plot.bek.no/~marieke/site_marieke/sphpblog0472/rss.php) to a plain.txt file, upload that via “import RSS”

    -changing permissions for all the files in “wp-content/uploads” , where the
    rss.php that i uploaded is placed, to 757

    Still no luck.
    Any clue´s?
    Is there a way to set the url of the feed manually in a php file?
    i tried searching this forum but didnt find any simular problem/solution

    Can you give us some hints on what’s failing?

    Any error messages you could share?

    When i import an rss.php file or text file containing the URL of the feed via dashboards “import RSS” it seems to be fine, i get the “All done, have fun” message, but the feed doesnt show in my blog
