Just a learning curve question: what is the difference between Ping-o-matic and Feedburner? Am I correct in thinking that POM is just for wordpress.com hosted blogs, and Feedburner is what everybody else uses?
Are there better services to use? This is all new stuff to me!

Ping-O-Matic is for XMLRPC pinging, and has nothing to do with feeds.

Oh boy, clear as mud but thanks for the link.
At least I can cross that question off my list: even if the ping-thing is still a mystery ;-) it's the RSS feed that I was wondering about.
