   My rss feeds were working fine. But after my upgrade 2.9.2 , my feeds are corrupted.

   I tried replacing the old rss files but still the problem persist.

   There's nothing wrong with your RSS feed.

   but this was not how it displayed earlier... there is no formatting. Also there was a drop down menu at the top through which people could subscribe

   There is no formatting in an RSS feed. Any display formatting is carried out by a news reader or aggregator such as Feedburner.
